Błasiak Adrian

I specialize in the treatment of locomotive organs and traumas related to sport and degenerative diseases , in particular those involving the shoulder and the knee, but also the elbow, the ankle or the wrist.

I perform reconstructions of the shoulder joint rotator cuff, reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament and ankle ligaments. For many years, I have been conducting active research activities, including academic presentations in Poland and abroad and publications in scientific journals. I participate in many clinical trials on the regeneration of damaged joint cartilage to increase the chance of patients returning to full fitness.

I am particularly interested in the shoulder joint and the problem of its instability. The topic of my doctorate thesis was the surgical treatment of instability of this joint using two techniques. One of them is the uncommon technique of remplissage, while the other one, developed in the St. Luke’s Hospital in Bielsko-Biala, is innovative BLS technique, which is the only one that can protect delicate articular cartilage. In addition, I deal with the surgical treatment of common shoulder disorders, such as rotator cuff damage or calcification, degenerative changes or shoulder and collarbone defects.

Working with top-class orthopedic specialists, I try to use the most modern, available methods to restore the patient’s fitness.
