On 1-2 April 2019, the third edition of international workshops devoted to the latest trends in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder took place, headed by dr MD Phd Roman Brzóska – head of the Department of the Shoulder and Upper Limb (SULD) orthopedic department of the St. Łukasz in Bielsko-Biała.
On 1-2 April 2019 in Krakow, a cyclic orthopedic conference “3rd Shoulder Excellence Academy” took place, which the Scientific Committee consisted of experts in the field of shoulder surgery with internationally recognized scientific achievements.
Among the invited lecturers of this scientific event were doctors of the orthopedic department of the St. Łukasz Hospital in Bielsko-Biała.
MD Phd. Roman Brzóska – head of the Shoulder and Upper Limbs Center (SULD), MD Phd Adrian Błasiak and MD Wojciech Solecki – presented lectures on modern methods of treatment of shoulder instability.
In addition, during the event a practical workshop session took place, in which participants had the opportunity to learn about the techniques of innovative surgery on artificial shoulder models.
The main element of the scientific meeting was the transmission of demonstrative shoulder surgery from the operating rooms of the St.
Łukasz in Bielsko-Biała. Workshop participants had the opportunity to observe the image of arthroscopic cameras “inside the joint” showing surgical techniques and maneuvers during surgery, with comments from operators’ doctors.
Transmission of the surgery enriched with discussion is an ideal way to exchange views and experiences in the field of modern surgical techniques in an international orthopedic group. A team of doctors from the St. Łukasz Hospital is happy to participate in such events.
